India’s Lok Sabha passed a taxation bill to encourage investors to shift their investment from jurisdictions like Mauritius and Singapore to the Gujarat International Finance Tec (GIFT City). Historically the largest FDI provider in India, Mauritius, is at risk of helplessly witnessing an exodus of investment from its IFC to Mother India’s new financial hub.
