Future Females Invest and Accenture have entered into cooperation to empower women entrepreneurs in Mauritius running businesses that have a positive impact on the environment.
Accenture has committed to achieving specific environmental goals and is taking an innovative approach to sustainability. FFI brings its extensive expertise, skills and network to enable Accenture to meet these goals by making real change to empower women entrepreneurs and women-led businesses to build and scale their businesses that are good for people and the planet.
Launching on International Women’s Day, The FFI Enterprise Studio supported by Accenture, will run a campaign to find 2 women entrepreneurs (for profit or not for profit) in Mauritius with businesses that have a positive environmental impact such as but not limited to smart travel, water solutions, waste reduction, reusing and recycling, sustainable agriculture, and much more. The selected women will take part in a bespoke programme over the course of 3 months to enable them to meet their business goals, with specialist training and coaching provided by FFI, in addition FFI will work with Accenture to explore areas that they can support the entrepreneurs with.
Aysha Tegally, Co-Founder and CEO of FFI said “FFI are excited to work with Accenture to enable Mauritian women who are running businesses with a positive environmental impact to seize opportunities, build their network, access training and build the skills they need to grow and scale their businesses. We know women are leading change in the innovation, environmental and sustainability spaces. This partnership will create real change by ensuring that women are empowered and inspired to build businesses in these sectors.”
“We have chosen to work with FFI because of their vast experience in supporting women entrepreneurs and investors. We share a common goal of making a difference. This cooperation will positively impact women, and create jobs and opportunities in a meaningful way that will lead to long-term change,” said Shalini Jugessur, managing director, Accenture.
This cooperation leverages the respective strengths of Accenture and Future Females Invest to create compelling value for both companies and women. Importantly, the cooperation strategically aligns both companies for the long-term by combining the strength of Future Females Invest’s Pan-African network of women along with their experience and expertise of working with and creating training programmes, campaigns and events to economically empower women.
